Mainholm Country Lodge

Gorgeous and tranquil in the valley

Victorian elegance in the heart of West Otago, a romantic, unique and peaceful retreat. This delightful lodge is for the exclusive use of guests, in a beautifully restored 1908 homestead set on ten acres of gardens and grounds, overlooking the river valley and Blue Mountains. There is private access to the Pomahaka River for trout and salmon fishing. There are five private guest rooms, one with it's own Edwardian claw leg bath and two with an en suite, each have a queen or double bed (electric blanket fitted), coffee table, reading sofa or chair, wardrobe and mountain views. There are two additional exclusive use bathrooms, three lounge rooms, flat screen TVs, laundry, DVDs, board games, and free WiFi. Mainholm Lodge is licensed with an acclaimed dining experience for guests. There is a large covered deck and veranda for al fresco dining in a garden setting, classic Kiwi or continental breakfast available. The hosts live on the grounds in separate accommodation.
