AN OPEN LETTER TO THE COMMUNITY OF TAPANUI

A heartfelt thank you for the wonderful hospitality you bestowed upon the crew from Disney and the New Zealand Film Commission on Saturday [13 August 2016]. The powhiri was so very moving and the Kapa Haka group from Blue Mountain College gave an extraordinary and memorable performance. The day will stay in our hearts forever.

As Director David Lowery said, Pete's Dragon is your movie Tapanui! To each and every one of you, thank you for providing that extra bit of magic!

Anna Thomas
